It was rather warm here today and although there was rain in the forecast the sun did break through and gave me just enough light to get some decent photos. This ruby-crowned kinglet was a challenge to photograph because they are so hyperactive.

Next I came across a lone male lesser scaup who seemed to have an attachment to a mating pair of mallards. For those of you old enough to remember, three’s company right?
I passed a serene mourning dove, a brown thrasher who wouldn’t come out of his thicket no matter how nicely I asked, and a great blue heron who was busy fishing.
Some winter plants and water turtles caught my eye.
Don’t ever stop adventuring because you never know what wonderful surprise might be just around the bend.
